Renew & Restore: hero oils to your rescue

Renew & Restore: hero oils to your rescue

We recently thought that it may be a lovely thing to do to group our products together by mood and essential oil benefits so that our customers could find just the right thing for them.

Our renew & restore products all contain essential oil blends that can help to improve and balance out both our skin and mood and help to make us feel just a little bit better.

Some stand out hero oils in this range are:

Geranium (pelagonium graveolens): Geranium is a cheerful oil, bright and restorative. It's a champion balancer; for our skin it's cooling to dry, inflamed skin types but it can also combat excess oiliness and acne with it's antiseptic properties. Geranium can also balance our emotions; both calming and uplifting it is a natural anti-depressant and can also reduce restlessness and anxiety. A true all-round hero oil.

Peppermint (mentha piperita): Not to be out-done, peppermint oil is something of an unsung hero. Cooling and refreshing, peppermint is a great oil to rescue skin that feels irritated or sore and itchy. It's stimulating and analgesic properties also make it an effective remedy for muscular pains (we love to pair it with relaxing lavender oil for a knock-out bath soak) and headaches. Peppermint's freshness can also help to promote mental clarity and concentration...just what we need in exam season or when the pressure of a deadline is looming to help us feel renewed when we're flagging.

Bergamot (citrus bergamia): Another balancing hero oil, bergamot is useful for balancing combination and oily skin and renewing skin tone. It's strong soothing effects help to calm dry, itchy skin and has natural healing, restorative properties too. Its sweet aroma balances out mood by easing anxiety and acts as a natural antidepressant to help you feel a little bit better.

Find these oils in our soaps, skin salves and bath soaks and feel renewed and restored.
